SUMMARY

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the General Labourer will work in Prince Albert, SK in the wood operation process.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

General Labourer positions work in various areas of the post and rail. Physical strength and stamina required to perform the following duties :

• Unload,  load  and segregate wood products into industrial machines by maneuvering wood pieces into equipment during production
• Manually guide wood pieces against saws and operate automatic feeding devices to guide cuts
• Manually feed wood products into machines in the peeling and trimming  process of wood products
• Inspect and measure wood pieces to mark for cuts and to verify the accuracy of cuts
• Count, sort, and stack finished wood pieces
• Clear machine jams, using hand tools or other methods
• Dispose of trash and waste materials as required
• Perform housekeeping duties in work area  to ensure a safe and clean work environment
