What you will be doing :
Reporting to the Executive Chef responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
Consistently offer professional friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesResponsible for kitchen operation in absence of Executive Chef and Executive Sous ChefEnsure consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standardsMaintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentationHave full knowledge of all menu items daily features and promotionsActively interact with guests at tablesPrepare food requisitions in a timely manner & ensure that food order items required for department are communicated to the Executive ChefMaintain ongoing training and development of employeesBalance operational administrative and Colleague needsEnsure proper staffing and scheduling in accordance to productivity guidelinesSupport colleagues to ensure all kitchen policies procedures and service standardsSupport colleagues to ensure all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assignedQualifications :
Your experience and skills include :
Previous leadership experience in the culinary field requiredMinimum of 7 years well rounded experience in all areas of the culinary field of luxury hotel or restaurant kitchensValid Alberta drivers license requiredSuccessful completion of Albertas Food Handler CertificationPrevious Hotel / Resort experience preferredJourneymans papers or international equivalent requiredDiploma Certification in a Culinary discipline requiredComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications requiredStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all timesYour team and working environment :
