About the Role
Brookfield Renewable’s Communications team is dedicated to ensuring our brand and value proposition are clearly articulated and consistently conveyed to all audiences. This effort builds brand recognition and fosters strong relationships with stakeholders. To support this mission, we are seeking a versatile and experienced Communications professional for the position of Communications Specialist, Creative Services.
Role Overview : Reporting to the Manager, Communications, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering communications content for digital media, creating a cohesive and compelling brand image for both internal and external audiences. You will also support the introduction of new technologies. We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated communications professional who can work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will think strategically and conceptually, delivering creative solutions to complex ideas while efficiently managing workflow and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines and processes to ensure consistency across platforms and with external partners.
- Write and develop effective, modern, and engaging content to support communications objectives.
- Draft, review, and oversee the translation of communications tools for both internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with the Communications team and other business functions to generate new ideas and innovative strategies.
- Manage and maintain websites, intranet, assist in the design of various marketing tools, and support the introduction of new technologies.
- Lead the communications strategy and implementation for change initiatives, from assessment and planning to execution and tracking effectiveness.
- Create compelling communications for various channels, including email, presentations, live events, videos, websites, and social media.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, developing relationships with internal clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Plan and coordinate large corporate events.
Knowledge and Experience Required
Degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, or Graphic Design.Minimum of five years of experience in a fast-paced environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French.Proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas through effective communication across multiple formats.Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.Deep understanding of various mediums (print, web, presentations, advertising, social media) and their strategic use.Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work under pressure, managing tight deadlines and evolving priorities.Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofing skills.Resourcefulness, autonomy, and a strong work ethic.Experience in web design and extensive knowledge of design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office.Proficiency in WordPress, Sitecore, Dreamweaver, and HTML is an asset.Experience in photo and video editing.Note : Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
