We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in the Emergency department at the GR Baker Memorial Hospital.
Reporting to the Program manager of Critical Care and Surgery, the staff nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management and in accordance with the BCCNM Standards for Nursing practice and Northern Health Mission, Vision and Values statement.
Regional Emergency Department Education Program (REDEP) / HAU : The Northern Health Regional Emergency Department Education Program (REDEP) utilizes a standardized, evidence informed on-line curriculum offered by Elsevier, called Emergency Nursing Orientation (ENO). REDEP combines Elsevier's ENO online curriculum with a skills / simulation lab and clinical practicum to prepare registered nurses to provide safe and competent emergency nursing care, at a novice level. Upon completion of the REDEP education, learners will transition into the Northern Health Critical Care Program- High Acuity Unit (NHCCP-HAU). This education utilizes a standardized, evidence informed on-line curriculum offered by Elsevier, called Essentials in Critical Care Orientation (ECCO). NHCCP-HAU combines Elsevier's ECCO- Progressive Care online curriculum with clinical practicum to prepare registered nurses to provide safe and competent within a High Acuity Unit, at a novice level

GR Baker Memorial Hospital is a full care hospital with 27 Acute Care beds, 4 ICU beds and 5 crisis stabilization beds.
