Job Description and Responsibilities

The Software Developer works with industrial computers over wireless networks in an integrated client / server environment. The primary focus of this role is designing developing and supporting systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Software Developers professional experience will contribute to generating innovative design and customize process feedback solutions.

Maintain and support existing applications and systems

Develop new applications

Provide application support to end users

Work with vendors to update and modify third-party systems

Troubleshoot mill application software to minimize outages

Resolve data issues on control systems under tight deadlines

Shared on-call support duties with other team members

Requirements

Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Systems Engineering

Minimum 1-3 years of experience designing developing and deploying applications within a environment

Technical strengths in several of the following Microsoft technologies :

Visual Studio VB / C# /

Visual C

SQL Server and Management Studio

Windows Presentation Framework (WPF)

Windows Communication Framework (WCF)

Entity Data Model (EDM)

Reporting Services

Professional verbal and written communication skills

Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to balance multiple priorities

Collaborative team player

Open minded and innovative

Applicants must be comfortable in an industrial setting and be willing to take after hour calls in a 24 / 7 manufacturing environment
