Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing the entire pharmacy clinical and operational teams, including pharmacy assistants / caseworkers, regulated pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, supervisors, leads, and other managers. The role has accountability for the overall performance and success of the pharmacy in alignment with the vision and priorities of Biopharma & Provider Solutions. The incumbent must have a passion for business, solid clinical and operational experience, and make a difference by leading and developing the specialty pharmacy team to build accountability, drive business results, and provide exceptional patient care. The Director, Pharmacy role is a successor role for the Senior Manager, Pharmacy, and knowledge of the entire Pharmacy, as well as back-ups for the other Senior Manager roles as required
Specific Responsibilities
- Oversees the pharmacy operations and provides direction on pharmacy activities and projects within the pharmacy.
- Leads the pharmacy team in the implementation and execution of department policies and procedures consistent with the organization’s mission and care philosophy and in collaboration with other Specialty Pharmacy Managers nationally.
- Participates in the planning and execution of the pharmacy’s goals and oversees the function of programs / services consistent with them.
- Promotes and ensures that the highest quality of care is provided to patients and families.
- Collaborates with other business units to grow the Biopharma & Provider Solutions division.
- Demonstrates P&L accountability for dispensing revenue, margin, profitability, and financial KPIs, including all operational expenses related to the specific site.
- Key responsibility for accurate monthly pharmacy inventory and reconciliation, compliance and process audits
- AR accountabilities and collaborating with Finance on collections including managing payor audits to reduce and eliminate claw back risk.
- Manage pharma partner activities at Pharmacy including client presentations, audits and tours.
- People management responsibilities including performance management, talent recruitment, engagement and retention
- Provides leadership in key clinical therapeutic areas of Ophthalmology, Immunology, Neurology and Oncology.
- Ensures QA policies involving drug storage and patient deliveries are followed.
- Maintains relationship with provincial licensing body specific to province, and ensures all standards are followed by all staff.
- Manage coverage of the pharmacy to ensure adequate staffing is in place to meet workload demands.
- Operate and promote behaviours that uphold McKesson i2Care and iLead Principles
- Ensure company policies and regulatory standards are at the foremost of all activities and decisions

Key Requirements
Knowledge :
Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy DegreeA valid license in good standing with the applicable College of PharmacistsAbility to assess and understand financial reports and business reportsProficient in using Microsoft applications to present and manipulate dataPossess strong working knowledge of Kroll and its capabilitiesSkills and Abilities :

Previous experience in Specialty Pharmacy or related field3-5 years of people and progressive pharmacy management experienceSupervision and Communication

PSP, staff, INVIVA Clinics, Senior Leadership, Navigation, Medical Clinics, Pharmacy, Patients and drug plans.Ability to monitor and participate in communication with aboveEnsures that staff has the information required to do their jobs, by conducting regular meetings and sharing communication from Program OPS and Senior LeadershipEnsures training is assigned, where necessary, and completed on timeOversees staff communication with clinics involved in patient careDirect Reports : Pharmacy assistants, coordinators, registered technicians, supervisors, staff pharmacists, any pharmacy Lead roles.
