I'm an anesthesiologist who starts work before day cares open and often finishes after they close. I am currently separated, with my children spending time in two homes and I am exploring options to maximize how much time my children spend in my home. I think my children benefit significantly from time spent with me and am looking for a nanny who shares similar values.

One of my kids is neurodivergent and so those values become even more important.

I believe in minimizing devices and screen time in general. I believe that good quality nutrition and limiting ultraprocessed foods is important for young brains and neurodivergent brains in particular. I believe connection and unstructured play is incredibly important for kids and have tried to create a home where that is facilitated. I am looking into getting a French Bulldog as my children grew up with one and I think would benefit from another.

I'm looking for someone willing to work long days on Fridays, although with not that many hours of childcare. I am willing to pay a highly competitive rate for a dependable person (it's a gigantic poopstorm and a significant financial hit if I have to no show at work) who shares my values and can help protect my time with my kids.

I leave for work at 630 am and often return at 6-630 pm. There are days when the stars align and I get out early and when that happens, there would be an understanding that you'd still be compensated for the full day.

I think my kids are legitimately amazing but they have a lot of energy and not everyone is interested in or capable of enjoying that. I love it and am just trying to ensure they spend as much time with people who enjoy that as possible.

A car is a must as I live in Burnaby and the kids' school is about 20 minutes away. I'd be willing to provide a mileage bonus
