About Future Festival :

Trend Hunter’s Future Festival World Summit is the company’s flagship conference and takes place in downtown Toronto. It is an event like no other with 1,000+ of the world’s top innovation and insights leaders from brands coming together to plan for their upcoming year. Between innovation keynotes, prototyping workshops, tech-infused networking parties and experiential Trend Safaris, attendees are treated to a fully immersive 3-day program.

Role and Responsibilities

Future Festival has had over 30,000 attendees participate in our virtual and live events. With our Flagship conference approaching in September and our Innovation Conferences throughout the year, we are looking for a dedicated and driven applicant to join our team and assist in carrying out various administrative functions related to the conference and day to day office duties at Trend Hunter. The hired applicant will work on our Strategic Initiatives team to help plan, execute and coordinate details to ensure the smoothness and efficiency of our upcoming events and office operations.

All applicants should have successfully completed their undergraduate studies (special consideration to those completed in Administration, but not necessary), by the start date. Applicants should have a passion for administration, planning, a strong attention to detail, organizational skills and problem solving abilities. It’s also helpful if applicants have experience with vendor relations, budgeting and must feel comfortable talking to, and meeting new people. They will be working in a highly fast paced environment and will need to be able to adapt quickly to any challenges that may arise, while remaining positive and professional. The applicant will report directly to our Vice President of Events and will be an integral member of the team to help take our conference to the next level.

Responsibilities include :

  • General administrative duties and office operations
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and handling negotiations
  • Email communication with attendees and event partners
  • Ticket registration management and data entry
  • Researching, organizing and executing event elements
  • General research, and making / building connections with new and existing vendors
  • Handling shipping logistics and deliveries
  • Inventory tracking and event-related research
  • Responsible for coordinating event-related travel and accommodation
  • Hotel room block management

Requirements :

  • Administrative experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A self starter who is highly organized, demonstrates attention to detail and is self motivated
  • Comfortable with Google applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and general data entry
  • Past event-related experience is a plus
  • Start Date :   January 2025

    Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
