About the Job
BerQ RNG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team at BerQ RNG, a leading force in the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and leading the procurement processes, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities :
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs), track receipt of deliveries, ensure proper storage of equipment on site in accordance with vendor requirements, close POs, and coordinate with Accounting for payments to vendors and proper coding.
- Manage and maintain the item master database, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Establish protocols to prevent duplication and ensure data integrity in the item master.
- Standardize item descriptions, categories, and naming conventions across departments according to BerQ Standard naming convention.
- Collaborate with the project management team to identify procurement needs during planning and design phases.
- Support long-lead item procurement and specialized materials essential for project execution.
- Source and secure construction materials, tools, and heavy equipment in coordination with project schedules.
- Work closely with contractors and suppliers to manage material lead times and cost efficiencies
- Procure parts, materials, and equipment required for routine maintenance and daily operations.
- Ensure timely supply of consumables and replacement parts to avoid downtime.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
- Conduct vendor performance evaluations and resolve supply chain issues.
- Manage inventory levels across sites, ensuring that critical materials are available when needed without overstocking.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline the supply chain, reduce costs, and minimize material shortages.
- Work within each department's budget to control costs, while ensuring quality and timeliness of supplies.
- Conduct bulk purchasing where possible to increase buying power obtaining lowest price for goods and services.
- Track expenditures and contribute to financial forecasting by providing regular cost updates and budgetary control reports.
- Ensure that all procured materials and services comply with company standards, industry regulations, and safety requirements.
- Manage documentation for all purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements to ensure audit readiness.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the energy or renewable energy sector.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are preferredUnderstanding of sustainable procurement practices and familiarity with the RNG industry is ideal.In addition to a collaborative and supportive work environment, BerQ RNG offers :
