Job description

We're seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to join our established and thriving client in Dartmouth, NS . This permanent position requires proven organizational skills, agility in dynamic environments, effective teamwork capabilities, and excellent communication and leadership conducted in a positive and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities for the Job :

Manage and oversee full cycle accounting processes Financial statement preparation Cash reconciliations Bank reconciliations and deposits Financial reporting Cash flow management Budgeting and forecasting Payroll processing Evaluate, analyze, and recommend process improvements Month-end and year-end processes Support HR initiatives and play an active role in hiring and training of staff Staff management

Skills & Attributes for Success :

Post-secondary education in accounting, business or finance 5+ years’ relevant accounting experience CPA designation would be considered an asset, but is not required Up to date knowledge of accounting systems, software, and government regulations Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Professional, concise, and adaptable communication skills Open minded and flexible approach with a hands-on approach
