Machine Operator (Team Lead)

The Machine Operator (Team Lead) is a key member of our production team, responsible for operating and monitoring gummy production equipment while leading a small team on the line. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role ensures smooth production flow, compliance with GMP standards, and effective team coordination in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Position Description

The Machine Operator (Team Lead) is responsible for :

• Production & Equipment Operation : Operate and monitor gummy production equipment (cooking, depositing, demoulding, drying, etc.). Perform in-process checks and coordinate with QA / QC on quality issues. Troubleshoot basic equipment problems and escalate to Maintenance when required.
• Team Leadership & Workflow : Lead a small team (3–4 staff) on the line, assigning daily tasks and monitoring workflow. Ensure compliance with GMP, SOP, and Health & Safety standards. Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members.
• Sanitation & Compliance : Oversee daily sanitation, changeovers, and adherence to cleanroom protocols. Complete and maintain accurate production and compliance records.
• Reporting & Communication : Track and report production metrics (output, downtime, deviations) to the Production Manager. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including QA, QC, formulator and Maintenance.
• Technical Support & Operations : Support installation, set-up, and programming of equipment. Provide demonstrations of equipment operation for new machine operators. Communicate safety, control, and operating features of equipment in a clear and concise manner.
