The Winnipeg Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working individual for the position of Stadium Maintenance Technician at Princess Auto Stadium. Reporting to the Stadium Maintenance Supervisor they will assist in ensuring the stadium stays well maintained and in excellent operating condition while playing a key role in creating a safe space for all stakeholders, players and fans. Responsibilities :
- Assist with seasonal stadium start up and shut down
- General building maintenance including but not limited to : Patching / painting, minor plumbing, repairing seats, replacing ceiling tiles, flooring repairs, changing light bulbs, and repairing furniture, office and cleaning equipment
- Assist with mechanical systems maintenance
- Assist with emergency response
- Maintain a clean, and organized workshop
- Assist with event prep / teardown, field and building turnovers
Requirements
Basic knowledge / experience in building maintenance practicesAbility to work with a variety of power and hand tools safely and effectivelyStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work evening / weekends / overtime based on event scheduleMust be comfortable working with the public and have strong interpersonal, verbal communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure and tight timelines in a safe and effective mannerAbility to work well with a team as well as independentlyCapable of basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Web Brower)Ability to walk for extended periods of time, climb ladders and lift 50lbs+A valid drivers licenceExperience in trades work is considered an assetExperience with operating or maintaining heavy equipment (loader, skid steer, forklift) is considered an asset
