Our client, a leading organization in the Food Industry , is seeking a Production Manager to oversee food manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of accountability, a results-oriented mindset, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement and high performance. This role requires taking full ownership of operational success and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
The incumbent must have experience in the Food Industry. This position is on-site in Ottawa, ON.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with production planning to execute schedules, optimize efficiency, and address disruptions promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams to meet targets and achieve high performance standards.
- Monitor and enforce quality control processes to ensure all products meet stringent safety and quality standards.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels for finished products and ensure timely production and delivery.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Track and analyze production metrics, including OEE, and take corrective actions to meet performance goals.
- Plan and adjust staffing levels in real-time to meet production needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and present reports on production performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and actionable insights.
Qualifications :
2-5 years of supervisory experience in food production or distribution, managing a unionized workforce.Proven leadership and decision-making abilities, with a strong sense of accountability.Knowledge of food safety and quality standards such as HACCP and GMP.Experience with production planning, inventory management software, and OEE metrics.Strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements.Thank you in advance for your interest, only individuals deemed to have the skill set and experience to fit the role will be contacted.
