About Our Opportunity
As a Customer Service Representative, Transaction Services, you complete transactions and provide quality service to our individual and business customers.
Primary Accountabilities
Working in a fast paced, continuously evolving service delivery environment, you scrutinize records, process documents, and apply relevant legislation and policy. You also issue primary identity documents such as Driver’s Licenses and Nova Scotia Identification cards. Other key responsibilities include maintaining security / control of public funds and issuing and securing control of serial numbered and non-serial numbered inventory. While exercising a high degree of confidentiality, you accurately enter and retrieve data from automated systems. In your work, you interact with the general public, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications and Experience
The following would be viewed as assets : knowledge of Service Nova Scotia programs, bilingualism (French and English), the ability to scrutinize and reconcile financial information and to detect and resolve discrepancies, and experience in cash handling.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools : written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Working Conditions
Travel may be required for training and work purposes. Travel expenses will be reimbursed by the employer.
Additional Information
This is a term, part-time (60%) vacancy with a projected end date of December 18, 2026 based in Truro Heights, Nova Scotia. The status of the position (term / temporary) is dependent on the start date of the candidate as well as the overall duration of the position in accordance with timelines outlined in the collective agreement.
