This role is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on our business growth while advancing your career in the insurance industry.

    The Role

    As a Business Development Representative, you will be the driving force behind expanding our broker network. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective clients, and contributing to our overall sales efforts. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, results-driven, and passionate about the insurance industry.

    Responsibilities

    Prospecting : Identify and reach out to potential clients through broker visits, social media outreach, and networking.

    Relationship Building : Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored insurance solutions.

    Sales Support : Collaborate with leadership and underwriters to nurture leads and facilitate the transition to the quote and bind process.

    Market Research : Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to better position our products to prospective clients.

    CRM Management : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with prospects in the CRM system.

    Job Qualifications

    • Ability and willingness to attend marketing meetings with network and events
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
    • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of the insurance industry, specifically Property and Casualty Commercial Lines
    • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
    • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team and can work remotely
    • Education and Experience

    • Post-secondary education an asset
    • CIP designation or working towards is an asset
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Commercial Lines
