CASUAL CLERICAL SUPPORT

Under the direction of the Principalor Delegate provides secretarial and reception services to the school.

DUTIES :

Principal of administrative detail by independently handling allresponsibility associated with operating a school office.

services by answering the telephone relaying messages directingvisitors scheduling appointments and responding to inquiries from staffstudents parents and the public.

services including data entry typing letters reports and formssome of which are confidential.

and deposits school funds following established bookkeepingpractices.

appropriate control records for the annual and monthly budget processes.

collates data for Ministry and District reports.

Issued log.

of injury or illness to students and absence as required.

office equipment including a personal computer photocopier faxmachine postage meter and adding machine and provides first-line maintenanceas required.

on occasion be required toperform other job-related duties as assigned.

Applicants must have :

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
• Post-secondary secretarial courses of at least one-year duration or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Intermediate computer skills MS Word MS Excel
• Minimum tested typing speed 55 wpm
• Minimum of 3 months experience in an office environment
• Basic bookkeeping skills
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks within tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physically capable of performing the job duties.
