Job Overview Senior Technician – Server Room Support (Ad Hoc Request)

Location :  Whitehorse, Yukon

Date / Time : April 3, 2025, at 10 : 00 AM local time (1 : 00 PM EDT)

Rate : $35-$42 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Technician with strong knowledge of server room operations for a scheduled ad hoc support request.

Scope of Work :

  • Switch Replacement : Work with a telecom resource to replace an existing switch with a larger unit.
  • PDU Installation (if received) : Replace the existing power distribution unit (PDU) and connect equipment to designated outlets.
  • Shipping Prep : Pack and prepare the old switch for return to our head office.
  • Workstation Health Check : Inspect desks and monitors, ensuring proper cable connections, arm counter-weighting, and addressing any workstation issues.

Requirements :

  • Strong experience with server room infrastructure and IT hardware.
  • Ability to follow telecom resource guidance remotely.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Must be available on April 3rd at 10 : 00 AM local time.
