Team Leader - Mechanical Analysis, Electric Products

Job Purpose

Dana is searching for a hands-on technical leader to manage a multidisciplinary team of 5–10 people. You will be responsible for leading the mechanical and thermal simulation of electric motors and inverters across their lifecycle – from concept architecture through production release and field performance. You will own the technical roadmap, improve workflows, mentor engineers, and align analysis activities with program milestones and business outcomes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Delivery :

• Own the analysis strategy and roadmap for electric motors and inverters, covering structural integrity, durability, and thermal management, across operating envelopes and duty cycles.
• Lead multi-physics modeling development and continuous improvement using FEA (steady state and transient), CFD, and thermal analyses.
• Oversee creation and approval of analysis standards, including methodologies, model fidelity, acceptance criteria per phase (concept, prototype, DV, PV), etc.; establish model correlation plans to test data.
• Review and sign off analysis deliverables (customer program roadmaps, analysis costs, reports, models, assumptions, and risk registers); ensure traceability to requirements and compliance standards, ensure tracking and updating of KPIs.
• Define test-to-analysis correlation plans; drive root cause investigations when targets are missed.
