UX Researcher

• Strategic Research Leadership: Act as the primary research consultant for five distinct digital squads (including Mobile, Web, Theatrical Connect, and Ticketing).

• End-to-End Methodology: Design and execute a mix of moderated, iterative, generative, and evaluative research. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive test plans that answer critical design questions.

• Guerrilla & Field Testing: Conduct in-person guerrilla testing at our theater and entertainment locations to capture real-world guest behaviors and feedback.

• Mentorship & Upskilling: Share your expertise with intermediate researchers and designers, helping them refine their research skills and build their own testing methodologies.

• Actionable Guest Insights: "Dig in" to find deep guest insights and translate them into valuable feedback that designers can immediately apply to their workflows.

• Discovery Advocacy: Lead the "Discovery" phase for new projects, providing clear direction to squads on which research activities are necessary to validate concepts before development begins.

What you must have:

• Senior Expertise: Proven experience as a Senior Researcher who can work autonomously, manage multiple stakeholders, and influence product direction.

• Methodological Mastery: Deep knowledge of diverse research types (guerrilla, moderated, usability, etc.) and the ability to articulate why a specific methodology is chosen.

• Local Presence: Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area (Hamilton to Oshawa) to facilitate in-person testing at theaters and meet with the team at the North York HQ as required.

• Communication & Voice: You must be comfortable "having a voice" in high-level design and product discussions, advocating for the guest while balancing business constraints.

• Portfolio Excellence: A strong portfolio of case studies demonstrating your ability to lead complex research projects and drive measurable digital improvements.

Salary/Rate Range: $80.000 –$100.00 /hr
