Job description

The Position

Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Production Manager has the skills and passion suited to a dynamic scaling environment. Working as part of the Operations team, the Production Manager will support the growth of the business by ensuring appropriate processes and materials are in place to successfully deliver to your customers on time with quality while managing inventory.

Main Duties :

Manage a team leading by example by being organized, priority-driven and planning ahead.

Develop production processes to optimize scalability and ease of doing business with our internal and external partners.

Manages Productions capacity, build planning and material requirements to support customer orders.

Manages Triage of issues and engages necessary resources to resolve blockers.

Part of the Operations team as a point of contact for ECO implementation – ensuring costs and impacts are clearly evaluated and considered.

Support and initiate Lean Practices in 5S & 8 Wastes within Ops, and supports broader org needs as required.

Monitoring and reporting current inventory levels of WIP & Finished Goods – establish reorder trigger levels for each part by working with Supply Chain.

Supports organizational decision making by maintaining Production KPI’s.

Contribute to the ongoing development of other departments processes & ensure Production dependencies are considered.

Maintaining accurate inventory data through reconciliation of inventory transactions incoming inspection, assembly, kitting, and finished goods fulfilment).

Maintaining all materials related records required to support ISO13485 Quality Management System

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Production department

Manage routine cycle counts, and adjusting inventory discrepancies

Manage on-going workflow to ensure timely delivery

Skills and Experience to Enable Success :

College Diploma and / or University Degree with specific focus on production, manufacturing, operations and / or logistics

5-7 years relevant experience in a regulated industry (5+ years in a similar role is preferred)

3-5 years of people management experience

Production or inventory planning experience

Experience implementing process improvements in a regulated, quality system ISO), environment is preferred

Experience working in a medical device environment (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, EU MDD / MDR, etc.) is an asset

Methodical and precise in maintaining accurate records

Strong database and word processing skills

Skilled in analysis and manipulation of data

Experience in customer order processing

Experience with logistics (shipping and tracking orders)

Strong communication, inter-personal and customer service skills

Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet timelines

Continuous improvement mentality, shares ideas and embraces change

Keen attention to detail while working with a sense of urgency to meet customer requirements

Order & Inventory records are maintained accurately to support decisions by Management, AP, Purchasing & Sales.
