The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead employer partnerships within construction and food manufacturing industry. This role is employer facing and relationship driven. You will work directly with owners, hiring managers, project managers, and HR leaders to understand workforce challenges and deliver recruitment solutions that are practical, timely, and aligned with business needs.
This is not transactional sales. It is consultative work that requires judgment, credibility, and follow-through.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients (employers) in construction and food manufacturing.
- Understand operational hiring needs, timelines, and workforce constraints.
- Present recruitment solutions clearly and honestly, setting realistic expectations.
- Develop and retain new employers through outreach, referrals, and industry networking.
- Visit job sites and production facilities to gain first-hand understanding of client environments.
- Work closely with internal recruitment teams to ensure smooth and timely placements.
- Maintain accurate records, employer pipelines, and follow-ups.
- Stay informed on local labor market conditions and wage trends.
- Represent Can X Global with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
Requirements
Educational Background :
Bachelor's degree in Business is an asset.
Industry Experience :
Experience in recruitment, staffing, or employer-facing business development
Extensive experience within the engaging and retaining new employers in construction industry and food industry.Proven track record in sales, including relationship management, achieving targets, and successfully navigating complex sales cycles.Technical and Process Skills :
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage in specification discussions.
Excellent process management skills with attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.Communication Skills :
Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical effectively and business information to potential clients.
Professional demeanor with a focus on building long-term relationships and facilitating strategic introductions.Mobility :
Willingness to travel as required to engage with clients and stakeholders throughout the region.
