Typical Scope:

The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of specific projects within a company. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget, on time, and in compliance with financial regulations.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage and track project budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives
• Perform cost analysis and forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities to keep projects on financial track
• Prepare timely and accurate invoices, project reports, and financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies, safeguarding the company’s financial interests
• Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless financial operations across projects

Key Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in project accounting
• CPA designation preferred
• Familiarity with accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP)
• Tech-savvy with strong MS Excel expertise and exposure to ERP software (MS D365, NetSuite, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate issues and take corrective action.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
