Description

The Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT FOR 5 TO 12 YEAR OLDS (350-714-RL).

By the end of this course students know and understand children in terms of all the dimensions of their physical, motor, emotional, cognitive, language, social-emotional, moral and sexual development. This implies the ability to observe, analyze and interpret the behaviours of children 5-12 years of age, in order to assess their needs with respect to their overall development. It also implies the ability to communicate one’s reflections in an appropriate, respectful manner in accordance with the rules of the profession. Required Qualifications : Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in psychology or a related discipline and 2 years of teaching experience.

Teaching experience in Early Childhood Education or a related program such as Child Studies, Child Development, Social Work,

or similar fields such as Special Education and Family Support and Life Studies is an asset.

This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.

Teaching experience with an adult clientele is strongly recommended. This course is taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
