The Communications Intern is an entry level position that will support the Communications function under the direction of the Director Global Sustainability.The Communications Intern plays a key role providing day-to-day support for the Communications team with some flexibility to support other members of the Global Sustainability team.
This role is for a 4 month contract with a possibility of extension and the hourly rate for this position is $21.99 to $25.07 depending on the current term-year of the selected candidate.

Major Job Functions:
Story Development:
Work with the communications team totrack down story details needed for internal or external stories. This mayinvolve meeting with and interviewing Finning individual contributors andleadersorconducting online research.
Draft and edit story content forinternal or external stories.
Support the development of the weekly Traction Roundup newsletter by compiling submissions editingcopylaying out thenewsletteror finding photos/videos for publication.
Provideaccurateandtimelyresponses to project requests.
Safeguard confidentiality of projects meetings and sensitive informationat all times.
Represent Finning ethically and professionally in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
AdministrativeTasks:
Supportthemaintenanceof the Finning intranet called Tractionby addingdeletingor updating content or pages on the site.
Consult with internal stakeholders to review Traction page content andensure pages are updated andaccurate.
Planningand presentations:
Assistin organizingmeetings eventsand learning sessions that align withcommunications goals.
Supportthe development of presentation material related to internal and external communications.
Data & Reporting:
Track participation feedback and outcomes ofcommunicationsinitiatives.
Prepare reports for leadership oncommunicationprogram impact and opportunities.
Education & Experience:
Enrolledin a communicationsjournalismor broadcast programat a post-second institution.
SpecificSkills:
Organize tasks manage deadlines and ensure accuracy across projects.
Communicate clearly with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Prioritize and multitask effectively in fast-paced environments.
Work independentlydemonstratinginitiative and adaptability.
Build strong relationships and collaborate across teams.
Deliver high-quality writing and editing with strong command of English.
Create engaging presentations that convey relevant and actionable information.
