Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Millwright based in our Grand Forks location to join the Operational Maintenance team.

This position offers 12-hour day/night rotating shifts. This position works a rotating schedule of 3 days on and 3 days off. You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts.

  • 12-hour shifts - Days and Nights - 7:00 – 7:00

Pay Rate: $47.11/hour

Your future team:

You will become part of the Operational Maintenance team reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide essential mechanical and technical support to the production line, optimizing production efficiency and product quality.

  • Conduct repairs, replacements, preventive, and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment.

  • Repair and replace components of machinery, ensuring smooth operations.

  • Utilize exceptional troubleshooting skills for mechanical equipment, safety protocols, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

  • Read, interpret, and adhere to drawings, blueprints, schematics, and safety considerations.

  • Work with various bearings and systems, performing troubleshooting and new installations.

What You will bring:

  • Hold a valid BC Drivers License.

  • Minimum of Grade 12 education.

  • Red Seal Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years heavy industrial experience.

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings and safety protocols.

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, making informed decisions to ensure safe operations.

  • Willingness and availability for overtime work on short notice.

  • Collaborative team player, working closely with other trades and contractors when necessary.

  • Own a set of quality tools capable of performing routine tasks.
