AZ / DZ Vacuum Truck Drivers / Labourers

Join Team Green! GFL is looking for AZ / DZ Vacuum Truck Drivers and Labourers to support our liquid waste facility in Coniston, Sudbury!

Industrial drivers will be operating a variety of fleet including hydro vacuum, dry vacuum and liquid vacuum trucks.

Key Responsibilities :

Responsible for day to day monitoring or assigned project.

Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment and Industrial Services Shop.

Power washing and High Pressure Water blasting as required.

Line snaking, Drain and Pipe Inspections as required.

Industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes.

Assist on Vacuum Trucks / plant operations as required.

Confined Space Entry / Rescue as required for Industrial Services Projects.

Working in tight or cramped spaces.

Working while using Respirator or Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus.

Shoveling, Jack Hammering, Squeegee, Scraping and heavy lifting as required.

Operate Pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc.

Operate Aerial boom lift / Scissor Lift as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies :

Class G license required for Labourers.

AZ / DZ license required for Drivers.

Must be comfortable with physical labour (80% labour, 20% driving)

Must be clean shaven (required for fit testing / respirator)

Experience working in Industrial settings an asset.

Previous experience with Vacuum Trucks, Industrial Power-washing or Water-blasting, or Liquid Waste Industry experience strongly preferred.

Previous experience with Confined Space Entry or Work at Heights an asset.

Experience working with Respirators and Supplied Air Systems an asset.

Ability to work flexible hours / shifts, days, evenings, nights & possibly weekends or holidays.

Must be comfortable with driving and maneuvering a pick-up truck and trailer unit.

Ability to multi-task, take direction and work without supervision or within a team at times.

Working in areas that may be extreme hot or cold.

Working at heights greater than 3 meters.
