Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects on time, on spec, and on budget. This role involves managing resources, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects align with the organization's strategic objectives. The Project Manager will handle moderately complex projects, contributing expertise in project management methodologies and best practices. The incumbent will oversee the project execution and ensure full compliance with the P.Q.P rules : Prevention, Quality, and Productivity.

Plan and execute the project according to Boccard Project Management System and internal best practices in placeAccountable for delivering the project On Time, On Spec, and On BudgetTrack Project performance and meet budgetary objectives until project closure. Manage project budgets and report estimated versus actual costs, against physical progress. Analyze and explain technical and budgetary variancesCarry out project closeout, prepare project postmortem and report final project KPIsPlay an active role in maintaining the good relationship between the company and the clientLiaison with all project stakeholders throughout project lifecycle and main point of contact for customer on project related communicationPrepare quotations, draft proposals, and support technical alignmentsExecute and follow requests for modification to orders in compliance with contractual agreement and per internal rulesPrepare and manage staffing plans - Identify the need for internal and external resourcesManage the project team, organize and lead internal meetings. Organize and conduct project meetings (Kick Off Meeting, Weekly, Fortnightly, etc.) throughout the lifecycle of the projectApply standard Engineering practices to complete and / or review calculations, spreadsheets, drawings, piping layouts, and functional descriptions. Plan and coordinate with various departments the completion of tasks / milestones : to be delivered on time and on spec : design review, P&ID, 3D, highlighted P&IDsManage and validate the technical calculations, specificationsWork closely with the Supply Chain department : Plan the Supply Chain Kick Off meeting and comply with internal purchase order rules of engagementsWrite and validate reception protocols and approve installationsCoordinate shop fabrication and onsite installation on assigned projects (may oversee equipment installation as necessary)Organize and facilitate acceptance tests (Simulations, FAT, SAT, Qualifications)Schedule and supervise the start-upDocument project handover and execute Provisional and Final Acceptance certificatesPrepare and provide project status reports to upper management / direct supervisorRequirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with at least five (5) years of proven experience in project management or five (5) years of experience as a Process Engineer (CPI). Must be a member in good standing with the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ) or the Professional Order of Engineers (POE) in Ontario.
