Job description

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

The Electromechanical Global Commodity Manager (GCM) at Creation Technologies is a strategic, enterprise-level role responsible for defining and executing global sourcing strategies for electromechanical commodities across Creation’s worldwide manufacturing network. This role owns supplier strategy, commercial negotiations, and performance management, with a strong focus on cost competitiveness, supply assurance, quality, and total cost of ownership. The GCM serves as the primary relationship owner for key global suppliers while partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and regional Supply Chain teams to support operational excellence and customer success.

The GCM brings deep electromechanical market and technical expertise to guide supplier selection, technology roadmaps, and design-for-manufacturability decisions, while continuously evaluating global market trends, supplier capabilities, and risk. Operating in a highly collaborative, multinational environment, this role influences enterprise and business-unit strategy, ensures alignment to global supply chain policies, and enables effective regional execution. This role is preferred to be based out of any Creation Technologies location in the United States or Canada; however, qualified remote candidates will be considered. Approximately 25% domestic and international travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global negotiation strategies and manage RFI/RFQ initiatives to deliver best-in-class total cost of ownership outcomes.

  • Develop and execute Global Electromechanical Commodity and Preferred Supplier Strategies, incorporating market conditions, cost reduction initiatives, supplier technology roadmaps, and quality and delivery requirements.

  • Serve as the electromechanical subject matter expert, providing guidance on market trends, manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities, and design-for-manufacturability.

  • Own and manage all supplier relationships and commercial agreements, including Master Supply Agreements, pricing, terms and conditions, risk mitigation, warranties, VMI, and data exchange agreements.

  • Conduct supplier business reviews, supplier assessments, process audits, and new supplier selections to ensure performance, scalability, and risk mitigation.

  • Partner with manufacturing sites and suppliers to address pipeline risks, cost management, gap analysis, and quality resolution.

  • Analyze, consolidate, and leverage electromechanical spend across multiple global manufacturing locations to maximize scale and value.

  • Build executive-level internal and external relationships and coordinate cross-functional resources to define strategy, supplier selection, and KPI performance management.

  • Drive adherence to global supply chain policies and procedures, overseeing implementation and tracking adoption across regions.

  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Global Commodity Management, or Supply Chain, with demonstrated expertise in electromechanical commodities.

  • Experience supporting or working within electronics contract manufacturing environments, including implementation of business process controls.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality, delivery, and commercial challenges.

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating complex global agreements.

  • Ability to read and interpret supplier proposals, technical data sheets, drawings, and specifications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across a multinational organization.

  • High ethical standards, sound professional judgment, and strong business integrity.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Word, Outlook, and Access.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.

  • Working knowledge of business and international commercial law; ability to manage complex supplier relationships.

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% domestically and internationally.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Business required; advanced degree preferred.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $135,000-$165,000 USD and $120,000 - $150,000 CAD per year.
