Dock Supervisor - Afternoon Shift

We are currently hiring a Dock Supervisor to lead the afternoon team of a Transportation company located in Mississauga.Salary : $70,000-75,000 / year based on experienceShift : AfternoonsResponsibilities : - Evaluate KPI performance, create daily shift reports, take daily / weekly action to identify issues and areas of improvements- Evaluate manpower / headcount requirements and oversee mentorship / training for vacation / absences- Conduct performance reviews- Conduct safety audits- Organize and manage unloading of inbound freight and stage freight to ensure optimized and accurate outbound loading- Manage freight paperwork- Identify and variances in freight and report incidences, ensuring no malicious freight is brought onto the dock or loaded / unloaded from a truck- Direct shunters / drivers and plan door usage- Ensure daily inspection of forklift maintenance - Work with OSD to resolve issues- Other duties as required Qualifications : - Supervisory experience within the Transportation industry- Experience with dock and warehouse procedures- Valid forklift license- Strong leadership skills- Good computer skills including use of TMW system software or equivalent- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)- Strong organizational skills- Safety-conscious Apply today!By applying to this position you agree to allow Breakaway Staffing to contact you via email, text, or phone call communication regarding this job application.#FLHAccommodations are available upon request for all individuals with disabilities taking part in the recruitment and selection process.
