Job description
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join the Interior Health team at Hillside Centre-Adult Psychology in Kamloops, B.C

Salary Range:

Effective April 1, 2024, the pay scale for this position is $52.81 to $65.96.

What will you work on?

As a Clinical Psychologist with Tertiary Mental Health Services, you’ll play a key role in improving the lives of individuals with complex mental health needs. You’ll provide expert psychological assessment, therapy, and treatment planning while working both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to evidence-based, person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive assessments and evidence-based individual or group therapies.
• Integrate psychological insights into holistic treatment planning and recovery-focused care.
• Partner with clinical teams and community agencies to coordinate seamless, client-centered support.
• Offer consultation and guidance on psychological and behavioral issues to clients, families, and staff.
• Evaluate outcomes, contribute to service innovation, and promote continuous quality improvement.
• Maintain testing materials and champion best practices in psychological care.

Scheduling Information:

Shift times are from 08:30 to 16:30 hours. Days of work are Monday to Friday.

About this location/unit

Hillside Centre is a 44 bed facility located on the Royal Inland Hospital campus. Services are provided to both adults and elderly individuals with acute illness and/or severely dysfunctional behaviours who cannot be cared for in the psychiatric system in their own area. The focus is on diagnosis and stabilization with rehabilitation strategies to promote stabilization and reintegration into the community to return home.

This site offers three programs: Neuropsychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, and Geriatric Psychiatry and the focus is on diagnosis and stabilization.
