Job Description Summary
Pick orders to satisfy the requirements of production work orders, sample orders, and intercompany raw material transfers. Receive raw material in a timely fashion to satisfy customer demand. Ship finished product for distribution.
Responsibilities
Coordinate activities surrounding the warehouse operations
Unpack, inspect, sort and put stock away in appropriate locations
Ensure pallets and shelving units are in good working conditions
Pick customer orders for shipment and ensure accuracy using an RF tracker for transactions
Pick and pack orders in an accurate and efficient manner
Organize stock and maintain inventories
Perform daily inspection of a forklift prior to use
Maintain safety compliance when operating material‑handling equipment
Report any unsafe work conditions that may occur
Open cartons with a safety knife; grasp and pull part; knot poly bags; break down corrugate
Operate order‑picking machine at extreme heights; operate wave machine at 10 feet
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Required Experience
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
Basic math (addition and subtraction)
Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily
Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous warehouse experience
Certified on wave and order picker
Experience using an RF scanner or manual picking preferred but not required
Required to operate material‑handling equipment
Licensed with any one of the following forklifts : Counter Balance, Raymond Reach, Order (Cherry) Picker, or Dock Stocker (Reach experience preferred; a strong asset)
Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment
The anticipated salary range for this position : $21.25 – $29.75 Hourly
Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
