Miles HR has an opportunity for a part-time, 2 days a week Accounting Assistant. The ideal candidate will have strong Quickbooks Online experience combined with accurate data entry and payroll.
Reporting to the Accountant / Bookkeeper you will responsible for preparing all documentation and inputs for month ends.
Duties :
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Data Entry of accounts payables and receivables into Quickbooks
- Data Entry of credit card transactions into Quickbooks
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
- Produce Salaried payroll
- Other accounting duties as required
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years recent accounting assistant experience
- Certification / Diploma in accounting an asset
- Proficient using Quickbooks Online
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in data entry and ability to work with numerical data
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial services
- Produces accurate work
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce work on time
- Friendly, flexible attitude
