Job description

They are currently expanding their team and seeking skilled Folder / Gluer Operators for multiple locations, including Toronto, Mississauga, and London . This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that values craftsmanship, precision, and a commitment to excellence in every project.

Position Overview :

The primary focus is setting up and operating machinery to fold various materials as per job specifications, inspecting the quality and accuracy of folded materials, and troubleshooting any machine breakdowns, alongside conducting minor repairs and routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate gluing and folding machinery to produce finished products according to customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Adjust machine settings for different job requirements, ensuring precise glue application and accurate folding.
  • Monitor the quality of output, conducting visual inspections to ensure that all products meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on gluing and folding machines to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Keep accurate records of materials used, maintenance performed, and production output to assist in inventory management and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as printing and cutting, to ensure seamless production flow and high-quality end products.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience operating gluing and folding machines within a printing or packaging environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and blueprints.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and other departments.
