The Service Technician supports warehouse operations, product assembly, technical services, and quality assurance. This position combines mechanical skills with strong communication abilities, as the technician plays a vital role in managing customer service interactions, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring operational efficiency in the warehouse and technical service areas.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with unloading, unpacking, and inspecting incoming goods, packaging outgoing products, and preparing Bill of Ladings for shipments.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and efficient by maintaining inventory counts and performing routine maintenance.
  • Perform tasks such as snow removal, pest control, and lighting management to ensure the building is well-maintained.
  • Assist with product assembly, machining, and testing according to product specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide in-house servicing and repair of products, diagnose technical issues, and offer troubleshooting solutions.
  • Perform visual inspections of products for defects, verify dimensions, and complete quality records as required by ISO 9001 standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, manage product malfunctions, and provide timely updates on repairs or services.
  • Qualifications :

  • Technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or hands-on technical environment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot equipment and machinery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interactions and internal team coordination.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, perform manual tasks, and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards and experience working within a quality management system.
  • A valid driver's license is required to operate company service vehicles when needed.
