Job Title : Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks of steel, typically handling 20-30 skids per truck. The work involves operating either a propane or electric forklift, depending on the load size. In addition, you will pick and pack orders for the following day, including banding products to skids and potentially using an overhead crane for larger shipments.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks of steel between 7am and 10am.
• Operate propane or electric forklifts, depending on the load size.
• Pick and pack orders for the next day.
• Band products to skids for shipment.
• Use an overhead crane for assembling larger shipments when necessary.

Work Environment

The company operates in a newly relocated facility in Cambridge, focusing on cutting and distributing steel across North America. The warehouse and production area currently employs five people, with plans to expand in the near future.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00 / hr.
