POSITION SUMMARY
Journeyperson Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. - Site is at the Cenovus Foster Creek facility on the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range
- Shift is 8 on / 6 off
- 12 hour days
- Final day of shift is an 8 hour day, and then travel for days off
- 300 / shift travel allowance
- Camp accommodations provided
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.)Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packagesPrepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and riggingHydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facilityMeasure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shapeInstall supports, valves, piping, and control systemsRemove and replace worn components and reactivate systemsQUALIFICATIONS Education
Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authorityTraining
Must have or be willing to obtain valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets - CSTS 09 and CSO / BSO will not be acceptedSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testingAble to lift 50 poundsComfortable working outdoors
