Location : Cariboo E, BC Canada (Big Bar Ferry, 60km north of Lillooet & 72km west of Clinton)

Dawson Road Maintenance is hiring a skilled Ferry Operator to work independently in a remote location, maintaining and operating the Big Bar Cable Ferry. This temporary position involves shifts of up to two weeks at a time, providing reliable service to the traveling public.

What you’ll do

• Prioritize safety of yourself and others in all aspects of the job
• Signal passengers and motor vehicles to embark and disembark
• Operate the cable ferry across a narrow waterway
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engine, cables, and winches
