The Senior Proposal Coordinator will lead and assist in developing high-quality proposals, coordinating the overall proposal effort, ensuring compliance with the Request for Proposal (RFP), and facilitating the development of large and complex proposals from start to finish requiring additional customization and interdepartmental input for strategic projects. The addition of this new position is part of an exciting new approach to managing our proposal sales and request for proposal (RFP) operations at Nexom! This position would work directly with process engineers, project engineers, subject matter experts, and other Stakeholders throughout Nexom to support the RFP process. Sales, Engineering, Contracts, Subject Matter Experts, etc.) to create professional, high-quality proposal submissions from initiation through to production and delivery of the final product Participate in the proposal strategy meeting with the Leadership Team, Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers, technical teams, and other key contributors Review project opportunity documents to evaluate requirements, contractual terms and conditions, and evaluation criteria for bid submission compliance Understand contracts (i.e. Participate in the development of proposal strategies and strategic responses for proposals to ensure the value proposition and other desired technical content are incorporated into the proposals Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and project specifics to ensure proposals contain high-quality written content, readable language, consistent factual statements, and respond to statements of requirements Write key sections of some responses (cover letter, executive summary, manufacturers, etc.) Develop content for proposals, coordinate writing, review, and completion of the document with the Technical Lead, Subject Matter Experts, and other key contributors Customize non-technical content ensuring client focus, consistency with client needs / requirements, and alignment with the value proposition Grasp technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and / or graphics Gain knowledge and understanding of technical solutions from the suppliers and technologies utilized in proposals Review, edit, and proofread proposal material, including technical and non-technical documents, to ensure clarity and accuracy. Ensure that proposals are 100% compliant, all read in “One Voice,” and consistently meet the internal quality control measures and highest quality standards Responsible for completing and / or coordinating document formatting, editing, printing, proposal finalization, assembly, and distribution Create and maintain a database of information for future proposal submissions. Participate in proposal debriefings, distribute / share feedback appropriately to ensure continuous quality improvement and to identify enhancements for proposal content and process Excellent attention to detail and a high regard for accuracy and quality Strong professional business writing, proofreading and editing skills Strong project coordination skills Exceptional editorial and document management skills, including adhering to style, grammar, usage, and branding required An aptitude for formatting, editing, layout, and making written content sound like “one voice” Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and experience with large and complex document formatting Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Intermediate graphic design abilities to create visually appealing proposals considered an asset Post-secondary education in an administration, marketing, business, or communications field will be considered an asset. Relevant and valuable work experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree Experience in construction-related field, and specifically within the wastewater industry would be considered an asset Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification is considered an asset Competitive salary and compensation package is available, including company performance bonuses.
