Purchase Trader (United States / Canada)

At International Food Connectors, we’re looking for an ambitious Purchase Trader Expert to join our purchasing team. We supply a wide range of frozen and chilled products, including poultry, pork, beef, fish, dairy, fruit, vegetables, and potato products.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the dynamic agri-food trade industry connecting suppliers and customers worldwide, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to our fast-growing global business.

Your Profile

Experienced Purchase Trader (5+ years);

Proven track record in managing and growing international food product purchases in the U.S. and Canada;

Skilled in building and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers and customers;

Experienced in conducting market research to identify new business opportunities;

Willing to represent International Food Connectors at international trade fairs and during client and supplier visits abroad;

Proactive, solution-oriented, and driven by challenges;

Fluent in English (written and spoken).

For this position, we’re seeking a remote colleague based in the U.S. or Canada. Most of our team is based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. A few times a year, you’ll have the opportunity to work from our Rotterdam office for a few days to stay connected with your colleagues.

You’ll join a hardworking and passionate international team of approximately 20 colleagues within this department. Together, you’ll be responsible for expanding International Food Connectors’ global wholesale activities.
