As the Director, Retail Investments Product, you will be accountable for all aspects of Retail Mutual Fund product management, including P&L management, product design and development, pricing and offers, distribution and marketing (shared responsibility), and regulatory requirements. You will contribute to the overall success of the Retail Deposits and Investments business in Canada by ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are delivered in support of the team's business strategies, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will :
- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
- P&L management : work with Finance partners to manage the Retail Mutual Fund Profit and Loss statement, including setting financial goals / targets and managing to those targets
- Product design & development : Partner closely with Wealth and VP of Retail Investments to design a Mutual Fund product shelf that provides a clear value proposition for prioritized segments and is simple for advisors and clients to understand, continuously innovating to meet changing clients' needs and keep up with industry trends
- Pricing and Offers : Assess and optimize Mutual Fund pricing in the context of a constantly changing competitive environment to support sales and revenue growth targets, partnering with Retail Customer Growth and Marketing to develop client-centric, investment offers that will support attainment of our growth targets
- Distribution & marketing : Partner effectively with distribution partners to deliver a best-in-class client and advisor experience, partnering with Retail Client Growth and Retail Branch Enablement to optimize and expand our leads and client engagement process, and partnering closely with marketing to deliver our public facing campaigns to support attainment of our acquisition growth targets
- Regulatory requirements : Have a solid understanding of the regulatory environment under CIRO and work closely with Internal Controls partners
- Leverage data and analytics to understand client and market behaviours, working with distribution, marketing and analytics partners to build and maintain performance reporting trackers, and partnering with Wealth to monitor industry and portfolio trends to enable data-driven portfolio management
- Play a key role in developing and executing a multi-year strategy to grow Scotiabank's Retail Investment business by partnering with multiple stakeholders across Retail Banking and Wealth Management
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions, while actively pursuing effective and efficient operations of your respective area in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles

Post-secondary education in a related field; Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance is preferredSeveral years of related professional experience; payment and banking industry experience is an assetThorough knowledge of the Canadian financial services marketplace and solid understanding of the Retail Investments space, including product offerings, advice delivery models, competitive landscape and regulatory environmentStrong qualitative and quantitative financial analysis / research skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills, especially creating and delivering strong business focused strategic plans, and driving those plans to fruitionProven relationship management skills with demonstrated seamless collaboration across multiple stakeholders, both internal and externalLocation(s) : Canada : Ontario : Toronto
