What do our Food Safety & Compliance Specialists do?
- Conduct assessments that measure conformity to regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards for clients.
- Observe food preparation and cooking standards to ensure food safety and sanitation practices.
- Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
- Teach and coach clients to create safer and healthier workplaces for themselves and their customers.
- Travel up to 50% of the time, or 10 days per month, including evening and weekend work.
Requirements
- Meet the requirements to obtain a CP‑FS certification.
- Highly flexible schedule, willing to work Sunday to Saturday.
- Desire to travel by car and/or plane up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to lift 10 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.
- Excellent listening, communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to influence others with tact and skill, and provide constructive feedback.
- Thrives in an autonomous environment.
- Safe driving record and commitment to safety.
- Strong technical knowledge of food safety preferred; ServSafe and/or CP‑FS certification a plus.
- Must pass a pre‑employment background screen and have a valid driver’s license.
Budgeted Salary
$40,000–$46,000 annually.
