Job Description

Work Arrangement : This opening is hybrid; the successful candidate is expected to report to the office – Markham Elevation Centre (MEC) three times per week, at minimum.

The Role : We are seeking an Engineering Group Manager (EGM) to lead a highly technical team of software engineers specializing in virtualization and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) integration. This team designs, builds, and deploys virtual test environments at system and vehicle levels to support automotive embedded software and calibration development. The ideal candidate will thrive in a newly developed domain with significant ambiguity, driving innovation while supporting existing internal customers. This role requires strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate globally to deliver state‑of‑the‑art virtual test beds for application and infrastructure software development.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

Lead and Develop Team

• Lead a team of GM employees and / or contract resources (onsite, remote, offshore).
• Mentor and grow team’s capacity and capabilities, support career development, and support performance management.
• Drive recruitment, staffing, and succession planning.
