Role Description

As a member of the Management Team, reporting to the COO, the Director of Human Resources will be responsible for providing leadership and support to ensure the successful delivery of the strategic plan within the areas of human resources, corporate performance, continuous improvement, and culture. This includes oversight of the development of various programs and initiatives to fulfill our client's purpose of “we transform the way people use energy” while living the values of integrity, innovation, and partnership.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to support all human resources functions such as workforce planning; career management; compensation and benefits; succession planning; leadership development; occupational health and safety; culture building, and more.
  • Provide written reports and presentations to the Board of Directors and Committees on all topics related to human resources, compensation, and corporate performance.
  • In collaboration with the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team, drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures in support of EfficiencyOne’s high-performance culture, using diagnostic tools such as High-Performance Organization (HPO) to identify and close competency gaps.
  • Ensure the organization has efficient and effective methods to identify and act on improvement and innovation opportunities.
  • Support the development of the annual business plan that identifies key objectives and activities that the organization will undertake.

Your Qualifications :

As the ideal candidate, you are an innovative and entrepreneurial human resources leader who looks to find the solution to any problem and can effectively mentor and grow a team of HR professionals. You have experience developing and executing strategic initiatives that span several HR functions designed to push the business forward and are comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment. Additionally, you are confident presenting new ideas to members of the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Most importantly, your values align with EfficiencyOne’s purpose, and you are passionate about driving HR initiatives to support the development and success of the business.

Qualifications include :

  • 10+ years’ experience in Human Resources including strong leadership experience.
  • Post-secondary education, preferably with a concentration in Human Resources, or other related discipline with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) or other relevant Master-level education would be considered a strong asset.
  • CPHR designation would be considered a strong asset.
  • Significant management experience relating to key corporate performance responsibilities including strategic planning and development of a high-performance culture.
  • Depth of HR Generalist experience, covering a variety of HR competency areas.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, and discretion.
  • Significant experience reporting to a Board of Directors (or comparable board / committee) would be considered a strong asset.
  • Experience in the Energy or Engineering sector would be considered a strong asset.
