Salary : $49,954 - $61,332 + $3.00 PSW salary top-up, per hour
This posting is to fill a full-time vacancy within our Agency.
Compensation includes a competitive, employer paid benefits package, including extended health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance; OMERS pension; 4 weeks of vacation to start; plus float / wellness days.
Position Summary : The Child Care Worker (CCW) is responsible for the daily care, guidance, support and direct supervision of the youth residing in a staffed resource unit. The CCW creates a physically safe and emotionally nurturing environment designed to assist the youth in learning to cope and function positively, both in the home and in the community. Many youth have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, behavioral difficulties, or addictions. Using trauma-informed approaches, the CCW creates a safe, stable and supportive environment that promotes healing, skill development and positive life outcomes. Duties may include, but are not limited to, preparing meals, organizing and actively participating in activities, keeping records of progress, routines, and interests; providing transportation as needed; assisting with activities of daily living while following all relevant legislation and Agency policies and procedures .
