MatchBox Consulting Group is on the hunt for an Environmental Lead in Alberta. This role offers the opportunity to lead and grow a dynamic environmental division within a consulting firm known for its innovative geomatics and environmental solutions. It combines strategic leadership, team development, and business development to ensure excellence in project delivery and alignment with industry best practices. The position is ideal for a driven professional passionate about making a meaningful impact in environmental services.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the strategic plan for the environmental division, align with overall business objectives, and drive growth by identifying market opportunities.
Manage and deliver environmental projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and regulatory standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of environmental professionals, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lead business development efforts, and secure new projects through proposals and bids.
Oversee division financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability through effective resource allocation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred) with a professional designation.
8-10 years in environmental consulting or management, with 3-5 years in a leadership role managing teams and projects.
Expertise in environmental regulations, assessments, monitoring, and remediation, with familiarity in geomatics and GIS integration being an asset.
Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, drive operational success, and build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Strong understanding of business development, financial management, and strategic planning within the environmental sector.
