We’re currently seeking a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our client’s team in Dartmouth, NS . In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to a busy payroll unit to ensure efficient and accurate processing while performing payroll accounting tasks such as reconciliations and analysis.
This is a contract opportunity, ideal for someone with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and adapt, and immediate availability.
Key Responsibilities for the Job :
Verifying and processing large quantities of payroll data Payroll journal entries and adjustments Reconciliations and balancing Review and develop payroll processes and efficiencies Assisting with various payroll, accounting & HR initiatives Other related duties as required
Experience & Attributes for Success :
Post-secondary education / training in payroll, accounting, and / or administration with a bookkeeping / payroll component Minimum 1 year payroll processing experience in a comparable role Previous experience with ADP payroll software is a definite asset Quick learner with a hands-on and dedicated work ethic Superior attention to detail with the ability to investigate discrepancies, ensuring items match accurately Strong critical thinking skills with the a curious and thorough approach Proven success in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Positive and engaged attitude with a willingness to contribute and continually learn
