You will get to

• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Perform appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Complete approved service on customer vehicles
• Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advise customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Support customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

What does it take to get on track?

• Registered Journeyman status in the Automotive Service Technician trade
• Currently have or able to obtain out of province inspection/CVIP certification
• Experience working on 3/4 - 2 ton trucks/vans
• Experience working on trailers and motorhomes, not required but is an asset
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis

Working conditions

• A team environment where hard work, concise communication and clear heads are rewarded
• Consistent lifting of weights of approximately 25KG is required
• This work can be unpredictable, physical, wet, cold, windy etc. and we need someone who will be up for the challenge
• This role requires nearly constant standing, crouching or kneeling
