Meridia Recruitment Solutions is pleased to partner with Living Stone in the search for a highly motivated and experienced Controller to oversee the company's financial operations and ensure financial stability. As a key member of their management team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing financial strategies to help the business achieve its goals.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Develop and maintain financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to help achieve company goals.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports (i.e., manage month-end and year-end close processes), including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports as required by management, shareholders, or regulatory authorities.
  • Manage the company's accounting systems, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Identify and manage financial risks that could impact the company's financial stability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, including tax laws, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Manage a team of financial professionals, including specialists in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Manage the company’s payroll and HR activities, including new hires.
  • Establish and develop relations with our team and external partners including banks, audit firms (for year-end audit), and insurance brokers (managing insurance policies).
  • Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess :

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial management and accounting.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, including being an advanced user of Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing a team of financial professionals.
