Terminal Manager Trainee

Job Description
Make this the start of a rewarding career. Whether you are new to the industry or looking for a change, Manitoulin Transport will provideyou with the necessary tools so that you can manage one of ourterminalsonce you have completed the process.
You will begin your trainingat one of ourTerminalfacilities with relocation to your own
terminalusually within 6 - 15 months from your start date.
You must be prepared to go anywhere in Ontario and you will have a choice to go to any of our 80 + terminals across the country oncetrainingis complete.
We will provide you with a great orientation and a lot of support, so youcan learn about the different areas of our business which include freight handling andmanagement, staff supervision, health and safety compliance, cost control and budgeting, equipment and our number one priority, customer service.
Traineesperform a combination of observation, actual work experience and leadership soft skills training.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and timemanagement
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Flexible with hours of work
- Maintain a professional image
- Eager and willing to learn
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Post secondary education would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of the Transportation Industry would be considered an asset
