About the Position

Reporting to the Supervisor of Facilities Operations and working collaboratively with the facility team, the Facility Operator is responsible for maintaining the operational cleanliness, general maintenance, and repair of the City of Welland facilities. This role includes preparing spaces for events and programs, overseeing the therapy pool and spa, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Facility Operator also supports on-site activities of building-related contractors, assists in coordinating their work with the Supervisor’s approval, and ensures all contractors adhere to safety protocols and facility standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and other mechanical components.

Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to ensure facility infrastructure remains safe and functional.

Salary and Benefit Information

The hourly wage range for this full-time, unionized position is $31.13 – $32.76 (2024 rates) OMERS Pension is available
